How to Request a Booking

  1. Find an item you want to rent by browsing or searching
  2. Click on the item to view full details
  3. Check the availability calendar and pricing
  4. Select your desired rental dates
  5. Review the total cost including service fees
  6. Click "Request to Book" to send your request
  7. Wait for the owner to respond (typically within 24 hours)
  8. Once approved, you'll receive a confirmation and can arrange pickup

  • Book in advance for popular items
  • Be flexible with pickup times
  • Communicate clearly about your needs
  • Read the item description carefully

Messaging Item Owners

Good communication is key to successful rentals. Here's how to message effectively:

Starting a Conversation

  • Click "Message Owner" on any item page
  • Introduce yourself briefly
  • Ask specific questions about the item
  • Mention your intended use and rental dates

Best Practices

  • Be polite and professional
  • Respond promptly to messages
  • Keep all communication on the platform
  • Confirm pickup/return details in writing
  • Ask about any special care instructions

Cancellation Policies

Renter Cancellations

  • More than 48 hours before pickup: Full refund minus service fee
  • 24-48 hours before pickup: 50% refund
  • Less than 24 hours before pickup: No refund

Owner Cancellations

If an owner cancels a confirmed booking, the renter receives a full refund and the owner may face penalties:

  • First cancellation: Warning
  • Second cancellation: Temporary listing suspension
  • Multiple cancellations: Account review

Emergency Cancellations: In case of emergencies or unforeseen circumstances, contact support immediately.

Pickup and Return Process

Pickup

  1. Confirm the exact pickup location and time with the owner
  2. Arrive on time (or notify the owner if you'll be late)
  3. Inspect the item thoroughly before taking it
  4. Take photos of the item's condition
  5. Ask the owner to demonstrate how to use the item if needed
  6. Confirm the return date, time, and location

Return

  1. Clean the item before returning it
  2. Return the item on time to the agreed location
  3. Return all accessories and parts that came with the item
  4. Allow the owner to inspect the item
  5. Get confirmation that the return is complete
  6. Leave a review for the owner

Late Returns: Late fees may apply if you don't return the item on time. Contact the owner immediately if you need an extension.
